Let's Dejavu!

Ahh.... the day has finally arrive.  Just a few more hours, Cincau is going to witness a fairy tale re-live.  The last was like 30 years ago..... ??..... What am I talking about??

Didn't you know the late lady Diana was married to Prince Charles in the year 1981?  Let me re-calculate....... (counting)........ (triple pressing the calculator)...... (pressing, pressing, pressing)..... yup, that's exactly 30 years ago.  And now, its her son's turn, Prince William, who swept commoner Kate Middleton off her feet to a faiytale land far far away in UK.  That's not so far.  Hey, its far for mua, I'm in Malaysia, okay??

Live Astro paid tv air-time from mua's land will be these:

Download image 1 : Wah!!..... so small, how to see o???
Hmm.....?? I've got 5 more images with the channels' programme time of the wedding.  Should I continue to place them here?  Nah....... just click here to get them.

How about free tv?  Don't they show it too?  Sure....6pm at ntv7.

I'm going to dash out of this office of mine, at exactly 5pm, pick up brother Cheeky and little Manja from the aunt, then to daddy Beary who's standing by at home, and rush to dear daddy's place for tv and dinner.  DO NOT TOUCH THE REMOTE CONTROL!  IT'S MINE!

Lost and Found

F - Friendship
R - Remains
A - And
N - Never
C - Can
E - End

Cliques, remember this?  There're more:

B - Between
U - Us
R - Remember
M- Me
A - Always

S - Smile
A - And
B - Be
A - Always
H - Happy

Classic, huh??  Guess where did I get those from??

My autograph-y diary... duh
Thanks to my dear daddy, he dug out a history of myself.  Yikes!!!  I have forgotten all about this.  It was during Cincau's naive-ness years with the then fad to gather max-max autographs among friends and related.  Damn..... that was really naive crazee.

The signatures and names on the pages do not help much in my already age-deteriorating brain.  Can't recall most of their faces.  A few are still vividly imagined...... hmm??....... I hope they are as weight depress as me.... whua whua whua. Smiley

And here's a classic that you do not always find in others diaries.......

Sorry Daniel to feature you here........ ya, right!!
Eat ur heart out Daniel..... u've just missed your chance with the ugly girl turned most wanted hot chick in town. Ha, ha, ha!!
Emoticon

Kidding!!

I wonder what else dear daddy found??  Gosh....... praying my heart out they are not something that bring embarrassment and shame unto me as  I'VE LOST A WHOLE CHEST OF SECRETS..... Ack!!  Smiley

Joking with a "P"

A week has passed.  The dust has yet to settle.  The recent Sarawak state election has opened the ruling coalition parties eyes, seeing the large portion of the communities frustration to their way of governance. Eyes are definitely open, but unfortunately denials abound.

Cincau could have say more but hey, who wants to be caught in a defamation law suit?  As Malaysia's rakyat, we should be "prihatin" = sensitive towards our country's progress and work on what's best for the benefit of everyone.  Everyone wants a better life, why fiddle with the race cards?

The law of Keynesian theory only tells that where there is large supply of $$$, this will only create greater demand for convenience.  Or put it the other way, where there are oversupply of goods but no demand due to lack of $$$, it only means dead end to the economy.  Which would you prefer?  Flourish or stuck?

Cincau mentioned too much.  How about a political joke?:

A man died and arrived at the Pearly Gates, where St. Peter was there to greet him. He was given a tour of heaven when suddenly, the man saw a huge wall with many clocks. He then asked " what are those clocks for?"

St. Peter explains that everyone has a clock that counts down the seconds of their life, and when someone dies, their clock will stop too.  The man was fascinated with the mechanism behind the clocks.  A further examination also revealed that some clocks second hands are moving faster than others.

St. Peter explains that everytime when someone tells a lie, they lose part of their life, so their clock's second hand ends up moving faster.  The man was going through all the names attached to the clocks and asked why Bill Clinton's clock is no where to be found.
"Oh!" answered St. Peter.  "It's in Jesus' room, being used as a fan". SmileySmiley

I Will Follow Him

Need I say more?

Extract from the Apostles' Creed :

~ He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead and buried,
He descended into hell,
The third day He arose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
and is sitteth on the right hand of the God the Father Almighty ~

celebration with special dedication to my fellow christians.

By the way, that IS a song sung in church.... Smiley hee hee.

Let's Samba!

Watch This! Watch This!

Now, how can you resist such an upbeat music? And that was only the opening of the movie.  More hot latino salsa samba-ing!   I had a great time watching this movie.  Thanks to brother Cheeky's nagging to watch a movie and the ultra hot afternoon sun driving me to escape in an air-conditioned cinema.

There's more!!..... It made me feel like dancing visiting Brazil.  Anyone care to join me?

The Coming of Easter

Palm Sunday
Holy Monday
Holy Tuesday
Holy Wednesday
Maundy Thursday (Holy Thursday)
Good Friday
Holy Saturday (Easter Vigil)

That's the chronicles of the holy week, the last week of the 40 days of Lent.  Each represents a very significant prehistoric events of Jesus' journey to Jerusalem till His death on the cross.  The holy week ends with Easter Sunday, where He resurrected and rose from death.

Christians throughout the world observe this week as the most solemn week in the Christian calendar.  Observations included fasting and offering prayers.

I thought I should share this song.  I enjoyed the spiritual comfort it delivers.  Have I mentioned that I joined the church's choir group before?  Darn it, the only hymm I enjoyed but not frequently sung in church.

Thank you Lord for the Trials that Come My Way  Smiley
Thank you, Lord,
for the trials that come my way.
In that way I can grow each day
as I let you lead,
And thank you, Lord,
for the patience those trials bring.
In that process of growing,
I can learn to care.

Chorus:
But it goes against the way
I am to put my human nature down
and let the Spirit take control of all I do.
'Cause when those trials come,
my human nature shouts the thing to do;
and God's soft prompting
can be easily ignored.

I thank you, Lord,
with each trial I feel inside,
that you're there to help,
lead and guide me away from wrong.
'Cause you promised, Lord,
that with every testing,
that your way of escaping is easier to bear.

I thank you, Lord,
for the victory that growing brings.
In surrender of everything
life is so worth while.
And I thank you, Lord,
that when everything's put in place,
out in front I can see your face,
and it's there you belong.

Appetizingly Ummmph!

As a Sabahan in Malaysia, I guess it is only right for me to introduce something unique in my state, Sabah : "The Land Below The Wind".

Okay, you are going to ask why is it called the land...... dot dot dot... .  It's a long story. I'm not gonna dwell on that.  Instead here's a sphere looking food that Cincau must introduce :

Soource : Blog Garden
Locally, its known as bambangan.  Its a mango fruit, and its seasonal.  Sour to sweet in taste.  Though I find most of the time its sour-ly pleasing.  Great as appetizer with rice, be it for lunch as well as dinner.  Others may use it as an ingredient for their soup.  Of course, sour-ly tasty too.

I know some of you may say it looks like an enlarged ciku, well the flesh is nothing similar to the tiny ciku-dee. Flesh looks more to mango.  Here's the evidence:

Source : Blog Garden
The best way to take it?  Pickled.  Pickled bambangan mixed in cili with rice.
Nomsom!! = local indegenious language. Means "sour".

Source :  a feast, everyday
Heavenly Ummmph!!  Come-come, try-try. Smiley

5 Most Visited Blogs in 2011

Cincau is a new blogger, hence is very very "green" in the blogging world.  So "green" with only 1 1/2 months of casual blogging experience, I need alot, alot, I mean damn lots of guidance.  So as I was blogwalking,  (I think that's the term the bloggers refer to when you poke ur head to their sites), and I can tell you, it can be overwhelming........ OVERWHELMING and INFORMATION OVERLOAD.  Gosh.... I had a hard time swallowing every bits of the tips.

Yet, I stumbled upon this particular blog and post that attracted my attention :

5 Most Visited Blogs in 2011
Yup, its the work of denaihati.com and you are invited.  The purpose is to build a larger network reaching out to bloggers who may be potential followers to your blog.  And of course there's more.  Unfortunately, I am missing one element to this work.  I do not understand when she mentioned to leave a link on CommentLuv.  I failed to understand even though I've done the search.  Anyway, irregardless of the above, I'm going to list my top 5, and here they are:

denaihati.com : 'coz sabah bloggers said most Malaysians follow her blog.  And so I poked my head in, and I'm hooked.
sabahbloggers.com : 'coz they provide lots of effective tips for newbies like me.  Besides, I'm a Sabahan.
glad2bhere.com : 'coz she introduced me to blogging many many moons ago.  I'm grateful for her help.
redmummy.com : 'coz the local newpaper featured her as the millionaire blogger from Malaysia.  I'm attracted to her success.
kennysia.com : 'coz redmummy complimented him.  After seeing his blog, I can see why.

There, that's my list.  Can someone teach me about CommentLuv? 'Coz denaihati said by inviting another 10 bloggers to join the campaign, it will cause 'viral tag' effect?  Again, I'm lost. Smiley

Go Away Food!!

This IS..... er...... WAS my year 2011 resolution : to reduce my current weight.  How much is my ideal weight?  Let's just say as long as I do not see my chin's ugly twin...... which goes by the name "Double".

I have been searching the web on recommended ways to manage weight,  and I can tell you, unless you are committed mentally, it will not be easy.  You have to make adjustments in life, which will test your endurance on how much you are willing to sacrifice and meet your goal.

In fact, life is supposed to be that way too.  Things will just be as status quo if you do not embrace change.  Old habits, old routine, old looks and more olds.
Anyway, back to the food....... Smiley  I mean the goal, so these are the actions I'm taking:

1) less rice
2) more walking
3) abstain from food 3 hrs before sleep
4) more lean meat
5) more vegetables and fruits.

There, my 5 steps.  Where's the exercise? I'm not mentally committed yet.  Don't you think you should?  I may.... maybe I will, after I'm able to get a good grasp of the above 5 first.

Yet, after 2 months of glorifying the 5 steps, will power is deteriorating and cravings are kicking in.  Food, Food, Food.Smiley Hmm, chocolates, ice cream, fat juicy meat.... Ahhhh, fried varieties, dairy produce, yum yum.  Do you feel hungry?  I do, let's go for late night supper.

CINCAU!!! Concentrate!! Now get back to bed!

Dear Rakyat Sarawak

Courtesy from thestar.com.my
Cincau would have lied if it was said that I wasn't interested in the state of Sarawak, Malaysia's political affair.  In fact, in recent years, the entire Malaysia's political scenario had been heated up with lots of sensitive and surprising news in local media.  Not only were they of intense interests, some were even saucy too.  I would not elaborate further than this as today is the decisive day for my fellow Sarawakians.  Today is polling day.  One very important time for our fellow rakyat = (citizens) to decide which path they would choose for their future.

I'm nervous.  Heart racing. Palms sweating. Polling stations are closed.  Results soon.  Ai ya ya!

His Eagerness Shows

Yesterday was Thursday.  Little Manja was sick since Monday.  Weak due to common flu and cough.  They say when a child is expose to new environment, they tend to fall sick easily.  Manja was not spared from this.  He had just begin his pre-schooling.  Immune system needs to be "re-compute" to enhance his health defensive armor against future recurrence of the same attacking viruses.

By Thursday, he was already recovering.  Gone was his fever, so is the flu.  Except for the nagging cough that has tamed down...... yet not fully gone away.  He had refuse to take further medication.  Being to prove he has successfully regain his health?  I guess so for mommy had told him of allowing school again should he gets better.  Obviously, he was beaming and showing signs of his eagerness to be there.  That is one major difference with the hesitant brother Cheeky who would rather stay in bed. Smiley

Friday morning came and he was first to wake up...... at 6am.  His 'iron palm' was fierce enough to wake mommy up..... 'pounding' at the blanket covered mommy demanding for attention.  Gone was mommy's sweet appointment with uncle Chow (sleeping god) who greets her at every resting time.

By 7.15am, when all was in placed and made for him, he giddily left mommy behind and hop into daddy Beary's car for his short journey to school.  I'M DONE!  Now to meet uncle Chow for a quick 5 minutes converse before my working day starts.

Hey, Big Spender!!

Ack!!  Ack!!  Ack!!  Another gift delivered to my door.

Should I be excited?  Yes!
Should I feel proud?  No!

I do not consider myself a big spender.  But these complimentary gifts from the credit card issuing companies think otherwise.  Look at what has been delivered to me recently:

courier package : FRAGILE!!
latest gift : digital photo frame
I must thank this particular company for appreciating my support to them though i think the damage done to my pocket is more severe compared to the gifts lavish upon me.  3 years with 3 different gifts.  Here's a pic of the other gifts I received from them:

digital photo frame + iPod shuffle
So, where's the 3rd gift?  Its there, right there in my hands........ a camera to capture these images. Nicey!!!

Additional info:
digi-frame, got it this year...... still in box, new and un-use. Waiting to purchase an SD card.
iPod shuffle, got it last year..... still in box, new and un-use. Waiting to download from iTunes.
digi-camey, my first gift...... using it and loving it, though the idea of having a DSLR is playing with my mind.

Great, tech-y gadgets for tech-handicapped me.  I need help.  Where do I begin? Smiley

Would you like your egg : poached, done, or faked?

Just over a week ago, the local news were wild-spreading the case of fake chicken eggs available in the market.  That humans are capable of producing such artifiicial egg-like form with all the yolks, whites and the un-crack shell.  Why on earth would someone wants to invent a near perfect shell-y stuff  and cause anxiety madness to the integrity and trustworthiness in consuming eggs?  Aren't there any other better inventions to think of?

I can think of one, like how to have more than 24 hrs a day.  I NEED more than 24 hrs a day.  Okay, i am exaggerating.  What Cincau really needs is how to perfect her time management.  Balancing her work and QUALITY family time.  But first, I need to find time to sit down and plan the time.  Ha ha, confusing yet?

After a week of hoo-haas, I'm glad that the mystery of fake eggs has now finally placed to rest.  We can now safely consume eggs and be the happy and jolly-ful egg consuming consumers again.  No more big imaginary question marks blinking on top of my head. Smiley  And brother Cheeky can resume enjoying his egg dishes.

Brother Cheeky, Mommy knows you love eggs, but please do not over consume them. Smiley

Have you had enough of royal news yet?

Have you had enough of the soon to come Apr 29th royal wedding yet?

Well, I don't.  Cincau love to see their pictures... and all the juicy news /gossips of how they met and what they have gone through.  Of course, these news may have been "tapis" = (censored), but I don't care.  They look amazingly meant for each other.

The current news is focusing on the princess-to-be and she definitely has the elegance and poise to take up the task.  So how does she sounded like?  I mean, we have been seeing all these static photos of them together, do they own the heavenly voices that match their heavenly looks?  Here's a link to their video interview.  You be the judge.

By the way, YES, I think she is beautiful. Smiley

The Wow Factor Gift

There they go again...... their selfish characters blinding their brotherly love.  Shouting and grabbing the one and only toy car available in the house.

Mommmmeeeeyyyyy, look at brother!!!  Let go, let go.  It's mine.

Waaaahhh!!!!! Sob-sob..... cry-cry........ waaaahhhh...... grab somemore......

I rolled my eyes.  I sighed.  I gave the fierce look.  I gave the ultimatum...... I'm going to take the toy away if you boys do not learn to share.

Both gave me the.......Smiley.  And the commotion continues.

Just what is so unique about this mini car?  I don't know!!  It baffles me sometime looking at the condition of this mini.  It's red with yellow wheels and steering, it has lost its seat cover, it is not in good form for any kid to play with, but somehow my kids adore it.  Some sentimental values?? or maybe just the "scent"..... you know, that familiar smell of comfort on your pillow or blanket.  Okay, there's no scent.... just that its the one and only toy car in the house.  Here's a pic of the red "Hummer":

Cheeky's : since very young
Hence, after much consideration, a surprise will be made.  The bongsu = youngest will be getting his "wow factor" birthday gift today.  It's got the groove, the style, the rugged-ness, the prowls (Gnarrrrrl)..... well, you got what i mean.  Hopefully, this will put an end to the Waaahhhh!!!, Sob-sob..... and cry-cry..... .  And here's the pic of the yellow "Kawasaki":

Manja's : his first wheels
There, the red for brother Cheeky and yellow for little Manja.

Cheeky's and Manja's side by side
Is that Cheeky and Manja?
And since its new wheels, here's something for fans of 4D:

Ong-ong lai.
