My land, and its unique-ness

Ha ha...... it's time for Cincau to introduce more about this land where I come from, Sabah, Malaysia.

So, besides the bambangan fruit which was introduced earlier, how about some folks song to sing along?

This is a very very very famous song sung by the Sabah indigenous groups.  And so famous it being, that Cincau is almost sure that 90% of the locals are able to recall the melody at the back of their head.  And thanks to the lyrics, Cincau is able to karaoke, singing along to the simple beat of its music.

Jambatan means bridge, and Tamparuli is a town.  It's about 30-40 minutes drive from the Kota Kinabalu city center.  The population is mostly of the indigenous people, i.e. the Kadazan Dusun.  Cincau do not usually visit this town as, to our locals here, any locations/stops requiring driving of more than 20 minutes is considered far.  Nevertheless, whenever a stop is made, Cincau enjoys their fried tamparuli noodle. Aaahhhh, YUMMY!!!

Oh, the lyrics also mentioned about daytime market, locally known as 'tamu', on every 'hari tiga'.  That's Wednesdays.  Various goods are sold be it daily necessities or even handicrafts.  Hmm???...... probably its time for Cincau to make a visit??
