Morning Sketch

Good Morning.  Selamat pagi from.........

It means "Borneo"
This morning started off just the same way as my other weekend mornings.  What damn routine life.  Y can't my life be more interesting???  I'll tell you why...... no planning lo.

But I'll be going for a movie later wo, so not too routine la hor.  Will watch Cars 2 with the kids.

And so morning breakfast, while waiting for food to be serve:

daddy Beary started off sketching
His hidden talent.  What did he sketch?
Big leafy plant next to our table
See..... got talent or not??  He took some artistic classes before...... no dancing nor stage performances la, just graphics.  I say, not bad la hor.  Never asked him, but I bet he got better SPM result for arts, 'coz I got a 5 only  Smiley.  Okay la, still pass right???  Credit some-more le.

Learn from the si fu
little Manja wanted to learn too
Manja : My turn.     Cheeky : Hey, I'm not done yet!!
Manja : Boo.......
Not too long, the food came.

Healthy or what???
We had our breakfast at this place:

Beautiful wall decoration
Po lo zou = Borneo
The food is generally okay.  But you must try their signature noodle dish called....... "Signature Noodle" dish la.  Didn't take any pic though.  Quite yums.  I just didn't really enjoy the road with cars passing by that's really near to our table with only the leafy plant between us.

But I do like that big wall depicting one of Sabah's horrific history.  It featured the Sandakan-Ranau Death March.

The shop is at........ don't know the address la.  But its a corner shop at Lintas Plaza, facing the golf driving range.  Definitely won't miss it.

Just before we left,  as I was turning away from our table, I noticed the lesson that si fu gave to the kids :

Tic-tac-toe

The Teething Story

Seeing my nephew showing his soon to be replace baby teeth, suddenly Cincau remembered the photos taken of brother Cheeky's same predicament.  Well, it was then during the Harvest Festival holiday, when the budding new teeth were pushing its way up but the old ones were still nagging-ly sitting on the gums.  2 still well and beautiful pearly whites were loose enough that by evening, with a simple plucking motion, both came out.

Here's a pic of the old teeth that finally made its way out thus allowing the new ones to "bloom".

Two tiny teeth and some medicine 'coz Cheeky was feverish that day.
Hee, hee....... praying hard Cheeky will have straight and beautiful pearly whites, 'coz I do not fancy unruly appearance.   (the irony is daddy Beary has the unruliness!! Smiley)

Of work and family

The much needed holiday break is drawing nearer.... oooooo, I can't wait.  I have somehow slowed down in posting entries into my blog, due to 2 things:

1) office work
2) little Manja

About office work..... yada, yada, yada, yada.  I may think I am facing whatever you are facing.  Though job scope may be different, but the feeling will somehow match.  Are you facing:

* miserable pay

* work overload
* stress Smiley

* a vision without end to this horrible phase of your life.  Do I need to wait until my retirement age??? Smiley......... ?????..........  Let me re-phrase that...... do I have to work till death???  Yea, that sounds more like it.

Putting the job aside, the other contribution to my "MIS...... psst, it means missing in action" is Manja.  Besides being sick, he has been cranky and demanding.  That dang flu is not leaving!!!  What should I do??  I've tried everything under the sun, western med, eastern med, lots of rest, lots of water, lots of luv, BUT NOPE..... dang dang is still there!! Smiley

With his current condition, he is definitely testing my patience.  I am currently up to HERE!!! (showing the hand chopping motion at the neck).  Crying and constantly needing attention, enhance with the demand to be carried....... you know that I'm carrying a bag of rice, right?  In fact, its more than that.  He's almost 15kgs, that's 1 and a half bag of rice.  From where I come from, rice is sold in bags of 10kgs.

The moment I feel tired and ready to put him down, he'll clinch even tighter like a monkey to a tree.  OH, SO HEAVY!!!  Tired, I'm sleep deprive, ears filled with craps...... no no NATO,  you think you are the best parent/guardian, then move your butt, talk is cheap.  and I'm missing my indulgence time.  Yes, I've gotta have my ME time.  I still need to upkeep myself...... wanna defeat all the young and beauties out there.  I ain't losing to you all, yo....... WHO AM I KIDDING?? Smiley

Anyway, despite the current situation is against me, I do not fret and will not walk away from them.  I know this will only be a small phase of my life for greater outcome in the future.  WOW, I sounded soooooooooooooooo positive.  Let's just pray and hope things will be better.

These are actual feelings of a working mom........ at least for me.

Since we are still in the month of May, I'll gladly wrap this up and send this message :

A case of the unlucky turned lucky

Who would have thought, an infinite to one possibilities would happen to me.  Just yesterday, I was showing off little Manja's new school shoes, BUT, do you see what is wrong with the shoes?

Well, here is the image again with today's.  Spot the difference between the two pics.

Have you spotted it?  The million dollar answer is...... the shoe's flap.... The one to be worn on the left.

So, being the unlucky one, I requested to have them replaced, without proof of payment. Smiley I lost the receipt.  My lucky star must be shining upon me tonight as I got it replaced.  THANK YOU LUCKY STAR!! Smiley

So, school shoes = checked!
